  1. Contractor Zoo’s privacy statement has been created to disclose which information we gather and how we use that information.
  2. Contractor Zoo collects information on our site visitors collectively including which sections of the site are most frequently visited, how often and for how long. This information is used to improve and enhance our services by monitoring the areas on the site that are most important to you.
  3. Contractor Zoo’s web servers gather your IP address, date and time of registration, date and time of profile updates and date and time of each login. Cookies are used to store a temporary session identifier and contain no personal data. Users who do not wish to receive cookies can instruct their web browsers to refuse them. However, doing so will prevent access to some areas of the site and limit your use of some of the services.

  5. Registration includes submitting your email address and personal details. You may access and edit this information by logging on and editing your details on the website at any time or by contacting our office on info@contractorzoo.com.au. If you wish your information to be removed from the site contact us at info@contractorzoo.com.au. By using the Contractor Zoo site you are consenting to have your profile information and CV passed onto customers that access our website. We will only pass on your contact details when a customer of the site has decided to purchase your details in order to contact you, or when you have applied (“tagged”) yourself to a posted advertisement.
  6. Contractor Zoo provides registered members with the ability to upload a personal resume for viewing by our customers. Users can update their resume at any time by going to the MY CV area of the site. By using the Contractor Zoo site you are consenting to have this document viewable by customers that access our website. It is your responsibility to ensure that any personal details that you do not want presented to the customer of the Contractor Zoo website site are removed from this document prior to uploading to the Contractor Zoo website.
  7. Contractor Zoo takes all reasonable steps to ensure the security of our system and website. Contractor Zoo allows you to access your information at any time to keep it accurate and up to date. Any information that we hold for you is stored on secure servers that are protected in controlled facilities. In addition, our employees and the contractors who provide services related to our information systems are obliged to respect the confidentiality of any personal information held by Contractor Zoo. However, Contractor Zoo will not be held responsible for any events arising from misuse of the site or unauthorised access of your personal information. You can also play an important role in keeping your personal information secure, by maintaining the confidentiality of any password and accounts used on the Contractor Zoo site. Please notify us immediately on info@contractorzoo.com.au if there is any unauthorised use of your account by any other Internet user or if there is any other breach of security.

Contractor Zoo makes every attempt to limit purchasing access to the contractor database to potential employers, recruiters, hiring managers, headhunters, and human resource professionals (by viewing and approving every registration). However, we can not guarantee that other parties (including parties disguised as employers) will not gain access to this database. Therefore, Contractor Zoo hereby specifically excludes any responsibility and or liability related to the use made of resumes or profiles by third parties who access such resumes or profiles while they are in our database.
  9. Contractor Zoo provides links to third party sites. These third party sites are not within the control of Contractor Zoo and we cannot accept responsibility for the conduct of these companies. Customers of Contractor Zoo are asked to comply with local federal privacy policy with regard to their own information handling practices.
  10. Contractor Zoo may review and update its privacy statement. Revised versions will be updated on the website. All personal information held by Contractor Zoo will be governed by its most recent policy, posted on the Contractor Zoo website.
  11. This agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia. You irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria. If any provision of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of law, such invalidity or unenforceability will not affect the remainder of the agreement, which will continue in full force and effect.
